Ko wai maatou?

We are Hamana Collective.

A small whaanau pakihi based out of Oparure! Right in the heart of the King Country here in Maniapoto. Made up of maamaa, paapaa and six beautiful tamariki, he waihotanga maatou noo ngaa marae maha o Te Nehenehenui.

Mai i Kawhia Moana ki ngaa wai o te awa o Mokau - we are excited to bring you our modern interpretations of the taonga our tuupuna left us.

After years and years of asking, Sean (paapaa) finally agreed to let Moana (maamaa) share his talents with the world, and here we are today. Having studied at Toihoukura (based in Te Tairawhiti) Sean has developed his own painting style that incorporates both modern design while retaining traditional te ao Maaori design elements.
